Eldon Schaffer, CEO Consumer Products Division
Eldon Schaffer joined Tekni-Plex as CEO of its Consumer Products division in April 2021. Eldon is a global P&L leader who rallies teams to outperform expectations by delivering unique value-added solutions to customers that help them win in the market. In the last 15 years, Eldon has held various P&L roles at Aptar. He also brings tremendous international experience, and has served as a board member and Compensation Chair for Fabri-Kal. Eldon received his B.S. in Marketing from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne. He has also earned an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
Chris Qualters, CEO Healthcare Division
Chris Qualters joined Tekni-Plex in November 2020 as CEO of its Healthcare division. Chris is a high-energy leader adept at forming strong teams focused on achieving results built on a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Chris has been a part of “engineered products” businesses spanning 31 years. He most recently served as Executive Vice President of Life Sciences at NN, Inc., in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company provided product solutions to the Orthopedic, MedSurg and Diagnostics markets. He received his BSME in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Massachusetts – Lowell, in addition to an MBA from the University of Michigan Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
Chuck Pfister, Chief Financial Officer
Chuck Pfister joined Tekni-Plex as CFO in July 2021. Chuck brings more than 30 years of executive management experience to the organization having served in various financial leadership roles at a number of national and global companies – most recently as CFO and Vice President of Finance at Alphabroder Holdings, Inc. He earned his B.S. in Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champagne.
Brenda Chamulak, President and CEO
Brenda Chamulak joined Tekni-Plex in October 2020 as president of its newly created Consumer Products division and now serves as the organization’s president and CEO. Brenda is a highly experienced and successful senior packaging executive who brings tremendous strategic and management skills to Tekni-Plex having spent nearly 30 years in the industry. Prior to joining Tekni- Plex, Brenda served as president and CEO of Jabil Packaging Solutions and held various leadership positions at Aptar. She earned her B.A. in International Business, Marketing from Carthage College and an MBA from Marquette University.
David Waksman, Chief Legal Officer
David Waksman joined the company in January 2011 as vice president, general counsel and secretary. He now serves as our senior vice president, chief legal officer and secretary. He came to Tekni-Plex from Constar International Inc., where he held roles of increasing responsibility, including senior vice president, human resources, general counsel and secretary. Previously, he served as a partner at the law firm of Dechert LLP. David earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance from New York University, and a Law degree from New York University. He also holds B.A. and M.A. in History from Johns Hopkins University.
Suj Mehta, Chief Corporate Development Officer
Suj Mehta joined Tekni-Plex in 2009 as vice president, deputy general counsel. He now serves as senior vice president, corporate development, mergers and acquisitions (M&A). Prior to joining Tekni-Plex, Suj was a principal and executive at New Generation Hospitality, a hotel management and development company, where he led more than 30 acquisition and business development transactions. His experience covers advising on corporate finance, complex M&A, real estate and commercial transactions. Suj received his B.S. in Finance from Rutgers University, his J.D. from Seton Hall School of Law, and his LL.M. in banking, corporate & finance law from Fordham University Law School.
Kym Johnson, Chief Human Resources Officer
Kym Johnson joined TekniPlex in February 2022 as chief human resource officer (CHRO). Kym’s diverse background includes CHRO positions with two publicly traded companies – Quaker Houghton and FMC Corp. During her career with FMC, she resided in China for five years as director, human resources, Asia. Most recently, Kym served as senior vice president, global human resources at Quaker Houghton, a role that included internal alignment responsibilities during the 2019 merger of Houghton International with Quaker Chemical. Kym earned a B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Delaware, and a master’s degree in Human Resource Management at Rutgers University.
Rahul Goturi, Chief Information Officer
Rahul Goturi joined Tekni-Plex as Chief Information Officer (CIO) in August 2023. Rahul brings over 25 years of IT experience, including 16 years as CIO for global companies. As Tekni-Plex’s CIO, Rahul enables the harnessing the power of technology to drive innovation, enhance operational efficiency and secure Tekni-Plex future defined by digital excellence. Rahul earned an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master's in Computer science and Engineering from the University of Missouri, and a Bachelor’s in Computer science and Engineering from Bangalore University, India.
